Remembering one of the worlds greatest Guitarist

Passion Precision and pure emotion in Every Note

Joseph Oskys (Joey O) – Bringing the Spirit of Gary Moore to Life with Passion and Power

Joseph Oskys, known professionally as Joey O, is a guitarist, vocalist, and performer whose artistry transcends tribute—delivering an experience rooted in authenticity, emotion, and raw musical power. As the driving force behind Give Me Moore, Joey O channels the unmistakable spirit of

legendary guitarist Gary Moore, capturing the fire, soul, and intensity that defined Moore’s iconic sound.

More than a performer, Joey O is a storyteller through music. His playing blends technical

mastery with deep emotional expression, allowing audiences to feel every note, every bend, and every soaring solo. Rather than simply replicating the music, he brings it to life—infusing each

performance with both reverence and his own unique artistic voice.

Joey’s journey began at just seven years old.

Self-taught and driven by instinct, he developed

his craft from the ground up,

building confidence and a distinctive sound that set him apart early on.

Performing on major stages in his youth and

releasing original music,

Joey established himself.

as a formidable talent—gritty,

expressive, and deeply connected to his audience.

Today, Joey now stands at the intersection of

legacy and individuality. Through

Give Me Moore

he honors Gary Moore not by imitation,

but through interpretation—delivering

performances that are as heartfelt

as they are electrifying. His originality remains at the core of everything he does, weaving his own story into the timeless music he celebrates.

Whether commanding the stage with powerful blues-rock anthems or drawing audiences in with intimate, emotional moments,

Joey O

delivers a performance that resonates long after the final note.

Joey O – where passion meets legacy, and music is truly felt.

(Bass)-Leon Poxon is a London-based bass player known for his deep groove, musical sensitivity, and evolving versatility across genres. He first picked up the bass at the age of 14, inspired by the powerful sound of Muse, and quickly became dedicated to refining his craft. What began as a fascination soon turned into years of focused practice, live performance, and musical exploration.

Since then, Leon has performed at notable venues including the Outernet, O2 Academy Islington, and Bush Hall, building a reputation as a reliable and expressive player on stage. At 19, he moved to London, immersing himself in the city’s diverse

music scene. It was there that he discovered jazz—an influence that significantly shaped his musical identity.

Driven by a passion for improvisation, Leon has spent years developing his ability to adapt,

create, and respond in the moment, blending technical skill with musical intuition. His playing balances solid, supportive basslines with a nuanced understanding of rhythm and harmony.

Now playing alongside Joey Oskys, Leon is part of a musical partnership that is quickly becoming one to admire, marked by tight interplay, shared creativity, and a clear on-stage chemistry.

With a strong foundation and a constantly evolving style, Leon Poxon is a bass player to watch—someone who not only holds down the low end but elevates the music around him.

A passionate keyboard player with a love for blues, I’ve built my musical journey around feel, groove, and connection.

Rooted in the traditions of blues and soul, I’ve developed my style through years of live performance, from intimate jazz settings to world-class stages including the London Palladium and Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club.

Gary Moore’s music, especially his blues work, really inspires me. The emotion he brought to every note and his ability to bridge technical brilliance with feel are qualities I strive to reflect in my own playing.

Through expressive keys and rich textures, I aim to honour his legacy and bring that same depth and soul to every performance

A Fans View: One Night At the Nottighham Arts Theatre

Richard Cox

November 8, 2025 ·

Ghosts and spirits did not float in from Ireland in soft and curling gentle wisps; they squealed love, passion and climax, loud and clear. This was a resounding, echoing tribute to late blues guitarist Gary Moore.

Nottingham Arts Theatre's plushness absorbed the blues and blues rock that gave Gary Moore and his friend and sometime colleague Phil Lynott world stature. ‘Give Me Moore’ is more than a tribute: it’s two hours of four top musicians playing at what might be their peak. A showcase of phenomenal talent, not a brash display of showmanship.

My overall impression as I stepped out into Nottingham’s buzzing nightlife and drizzle was that, had Gary Moore been alive today, this was the music he’d be playing. Tightly intricate, accurate and fast paced, with fingertips that flew up and down the fret. JoeyO is Gary Moore on steroids.

The evening began in pure soulful blues with the lead guitar rising to peaks, supported by a languid bass, a drummer whose precision left the hard work to JoeyO.

The atmosphere changed when the band launched into the sort of blues rock that I had

always associated with Thin Lizzy and some of those comfy chairs were emptied as hairless pensioners re-played their dancing days. If there’s a number that stood out, it was The Boys Are Back In Town. Drummer Manuel was stunning. His extensive kit got a complete work out and, if anything else had been around, it too would have added to the enveloping sound.

I was amused at the age range. Less than twenty minutes in and there was a steady exodus of blokes heading to the Gents. Such rocking drive has no age limit for its lovers.

A truly great band led by an absolute genius of the fretboard. Loved watching the band play live and hope to see many more live performances in the future. I would recommend to anyone and everyone that they need to see Joe and the boys live. They’re a true credit to the Gary Moore musical legacy, keeping it alive, not by copying it but by playing from the heart, with passion and adding their own unique style. Absolute class
